Once a vaudeville house, then transformed into a duplex movie theater, and finally reborn as a vibrant performing arts center, this iconic venue captures the essence of creativity and innovation. Located on the second floor, the theater occupies the space that once housed the second movie screen, while the lower level has been thoughtfully repurposed into a dynamic teen center for the youth of Pompton Lakes.

At Star Royale Theatre, we understand the importance of keeping things fresh and exciting. That's why each summer brings a brand new set of camp experiences, ensuring that no two years or two camps are ever the same. We continuously rotate our focuses, offering unique and innovative programs year after year. This summer, we are thrilled to introduce the very first film and theater fusion camp in NJ. Our campers will have the incredible opportunity to integrate elements of filmmaking and theatrical arts simultaneously. They will write, rehearse, film, perform, and even edit their very own original musical feature films or Broadway mash-up music videos. Additionally, they can participate in "Star Royale Live," a spin-off of SNL, where campers will write, direct, film, and perform a hilarious sketch comedy show in front of a live studio audience. As a special memento, all campers will receive a USB of their performances to take home and cherish.

For our youngest campers aged 5-9, we have the enchanting "Royal Princess Adventures." This once-in-a-lifetime experience allows them to not just be a prince or princess for a day but for an entire week. Campers can come dressed as their favorite fairytale characters and immerse themselves in singing, dancing, and storytelling with their favorite fairytale songs. It's a magical journey they won't soon forget.

Food
We prioritize the health and well-being of our campers, including their dietary needs. We kindly ask parents to pack their campers' lunches and be mindful of any allergies, dietary restrictions, or sensitivities. To ensure food safety, we recommend using a temperature-controlled bag to keep perishable items fresh. Rest assured, we have a refrigerator and microwave on-site in case campers need to store or heat their lunches.

As a peanut/tree nut free facility, we have implemented a strict policy to protect campers with allergies. We kindly request that all campers abide by this policy and refrain from bringing any nut-based products. Additionally, we do not permit sharing of food items packed in lunches to maintain a safe and inclusive environment. Please pack enough food for your camper's individual consumption.

We understand that providing lunch for your camper may pose challenges for some families. If you have concerns or experience food insecurities, or if your child relies on free lunch programs during the school year, please reach out to our director, Carmela Wolosz. She will ensure that your camper is provided with a lunch that meets their specific dietary needs and restrictions.
​
In order to stay hydrated throughout the day, we recommend that all campers bring a refillable water bottle with them to camp. Hydration is essential for a fun and energized experience.

Campers will get the chance to step into the shoes of their favorite fairytale characters as they learn some of their favorite songs and also have some fun with vocal games. There will even be oportunities for karaoke and sing alongs.

it's time to get up and start moving. Campers will get to learn some a new dance to some of their favorite fairytale songs every day, and have some extra fun with movement and exercise games

11:00am Adventure Quest
campers will get a chance to go on a musical adventure quest each day. It could be with a special prince or princess guest, a special guest artists, or one of many other surprises and fun games.

12:00pm Pick-Up

Friday will include a special celebration for family and friends in the afternoon. Campers will use the morning to practice one more time and at
11:00am, they'll share their songs and dances with friends and family.
